PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door sickle lock being smooth in operation, and having strength, without requiring a special temporary fastening mechanism, by reducing the number of part items, and simplifying the temporary fastening mechanism. SOLUTION: A rack formed in a trigger 5 and a pinion 8 arranged in a base part of a rotary sickle 6, engage with the trigger 5, and the tip of the rotary sickle is hooked on a striker 3a by retreat of the trigger 5 when closing a sliding door. A rocking stopper lever 11 for arranging a locking claw 11b on the other end is rockably installed in the trigger 5, and a spring 13 is installed in the other end lower part of the rocking stopper lever 11. The temporary fastening mechanism is provided so that the locking claw 11b can engage with and disengage from a locking hole 14 of an upper part of a lock case 4 by an advance-retreat of the trigger 5.
