PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatic polyamide fiber improved in light resistance as much as possible without damaging its flame retardance, by UV reflection and screening action, UV absorption or the like, due to inorganic particles whose reflex index and particle diameter are controlled. SOLUTION: The aromatic polyamide fiber contains 1-20 wt.% inorganic particle based on the fiber weight, which inorganic particle has≥1.7 but <2.0 refractive index and≤0.1μm average particle diameter.
