PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain efficiency in maintenance by performing maintenance in a bottom cover without lifting up a sewing machine body. SOLUTION: A sewing machine includes: a sewing machine table with an opening formed at a center; the sewing machine body which is supported by the sewing machine table so as to be freely rotatable and is movable between an inverted position and an erecting position; and a sewing machine table support part which is extended by prescribed amount from the four corners of the opening part in the sewing machine table so as to support the sewing machine body. The sewing machine also includes: a bottom cover body part for covering the lower part of the sewing machine body; and a cover engagement part which is arranged in the bottom cover body part and extended outward from the upper ends of the four corners in the bottom cover body part. When the sewing machine body is at the erecting position, the sewing machine body is supported by the cover engagement part which is supported by the sewing machine table support part. The bottom cover body part includes an exposing means for allowing the lower part of the sewing machine body to be exposed in such a state that the sewing machine body stays at the erecting position or inverted position.
