PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a flat thin-plate and unbulky shape in sale and easily roll up an umbrella cloth with an elliptical opening in use. SOLUTION: This umbrella cloth rolling implement is characterized in the following (a)-(d): (a) the original form is flat; (b) at least a pair of stoppers 12 and 13 are provided in right/left ends in the original form; and (c) the implement has a necessary and sufficient diameter for rolling up the umbrella cloth 22 of the closed umbrella 2 when assembled into a tubular shape by engaging the stoppers 12 and 13. In the original form, one end is tapered and preferably, the elliptical opening 14 appears with the implement assembled into the tubular shape by engaging the stoppers 12 and 13. This rolling implement is preferably formed of two layers, an outer surface 11a composed of a synthetic resin foam body and an inner surface 11b composed of a water-shedding film.
