PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle-attaching method enabling a handle to be repaired or replaced easily even in case the handle, especially the wooden handle, of a hoe, hand dredge, pickax, pickel, ax, hatchet, hammer, etc. is dried or worn and gets smaller, thereby the handle junction becomes out of order, resulting in the handle not to be used. SOLUTION: The method comprises the following practice: A handle 2 is vertically nipped with an attaching member 3 unified through joining with hoe's edge 1 and a separate attaching member 4 and both of the attaching members 3 and 4 are firmly tightened with a nut and a bolt 5, wherein the sectional shape of the handle 2's attaching part may be polygonal, ellipsoidal, circular or the like. When the sectional shape is circular, the joining of the attaching member 3 and the attaching member 4 may be such that one side may be the nut and the bolt 5, the other side a pin so as to turnably join them, or both sides may be unified without dividing in two.
