A receiver (2) receives a radio signal containing video information transmitted by an encapsulated endoscope via a plurality of reception antennas (6a to 6d). The receiver includes: a plurality of frequency conversion units (7a to 7d) for outputting modulated signals obtained by frequency-converting respective radio signals received by the reception antennas (6a to 6d) with different modulation frequencies; superposing unit (7e) for superposing the respective modulated signals generated by the frequency conversion units (7a to 7d) on a frequency axis; a coaxial cable (8) for transmitting the respective modulated signals superposed by the superposing unit (7e); and a receiver body unit (2b) for demodulating the respective modulated signals inputted via the coaxial cable (8) and generating video information for output.
