<p>This invention provides a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition for a polarizing plate, comprising (A) a specific amount of a specific (meth)acrylic polymer, (B) a specific amount of an ionic liquid, and (C) a specific amount of an isocyanate-type crosslinking agent. When a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed from the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition for a polarizing plate is provided on one side of a polarizing plate, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is suitably plasticized and, at the same time, conforming of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer to an adherend is improved. Accordingly, in laminating a large polarizing plate to a liquid crystal cell, separation or lifting derived from flexure caused by significant self-weight of the polarizing plate can be prevented. Further, since the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer conforms to fine irregularities on the surface of glass as a liquid crystal cell substrate, even under a high temperature and moist heat environment, separation or lifting of the polarizing plate from the liquid crystal cell can be surely prevented, and the adhesion to the liquid crystal cell is also excellent.</p> |
