A power generator of a moment resistant frame using a piezoelectric element is provided to reduce installation cost of a dedicated power generator by generating electric power through compression and tension applied on the piezoelectric element. A power generator includes a piezoelectric element(10) which is mounted at an interface between a pole(400) and a holding mount(500) of a moment resistant frame(100). The piezoelectric element is connected to a condenser to store electric power. When a stress is applied on the moment resistant frame, moments are formed at both ends of the pole. The piezoelectric element is arranged at the end of the pole, to which a large amount of the moment is applied. Compression and elongation of the moment resistant frame occur on the holding mount and a physical force is applied on the piezoelectric element. The electric power generated at the piezo-electric element, is stored in the condenser. |
