A method for automatically setting a mobile country code/mobile network code of a supplementary service in a mobile phone is provided to replace only a subscriber identity module to automatically set provider information, thereby improving product reliability for a provider and an end user. A method for setting a mobile country code/mobile network code of a supplementary service comprises the following steps. A mobile country code/mobile network code is read from a mobile communication terminal(407). A determination is made whether the read mobile country code/mobile network code is equal to a previously stored mobile country code/mobile network code(409). If the codes are different from each other, the mobile country code/mobile network code of the supplementary service is set to the read mobile country code/mobile network code(411).
