<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for highly accurately executing the adjustment of a focus offset amount and a spherical aberration amount even for a disk on which data are not recorded. <P>SOLUTION: As the optical pickup, an electrically readable nonvolatile memory is provided, and a difference between the spherical aberration amount when the jitter of reproducing signals becomes minimum and the spherical aberration amount when a tracking error signal amplitude becomes maximum is stored as data.
