<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that when a user of a computer is going to use a peripheral device, the power supply is suddenly cut by pressing of a power supply control button without asking or transmission of a power-off command to the peripheral device by other users. <P>SOLUTION: In the network system to which a plurality of computers or peripheral devices are connected, each peripheral device registers and manages identification information of a computer which has accessed the peripheral device. When the computer receives an off-request detection status before the peripheral device executes a power-off function to be executed by the power-off command from the power supply control button or other computers, the computer transmits a power-off temporary lock command if a device driver or the like for the peripheral device is in execution, and the peripheral device which received the command operates a power-off temporary lock function. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
