<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller for an image forming apparatus which is incorporated and used in a copying machine or the like using electrophotographic or electrostatic recording technique, where the change of physical property such as the modulus of hysteresis loss is small even when it is used under high temperature and high humidity or under low temperature and low humidity, and by which stable performance is obtained under all the environmental conditions. <P>SOLUTION: The roller for the image forming apparatus has a core bar and one or more polyurethane foam layers formed on the core bar, and the rate of hysteresis loss of the roller for the image forming apparatus under each environment such that temperature is 32.5°C/relative humidity is 80 %RH (H/H environment), temperature is 23°C/relative humidity is 53 %RH (N/N environment) or temperature is 15°C/relative humidity is 10 %RH (L/L environment) is ≤20%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
