<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for hydroxylating various alkanes and alcohols by cloning CYP153-alkane-1-monooxygenase gene, specifying a protein, expressing the gene in a host and constituting a microorganism conversion system by using a recombinant. <P>SOLUTION: This CYP153-alkane-1-monooxygenase, a recombinant vector containing a ferredoxin gene and ferredoxin reductase gene of Acinetobacter sp. OC4 strain and the transformant containing these genes or the recombinant vector are provided. The method for producing the alcohol or alkanediol comprising the hydroxylation of the alkane or alcohol in the presence of the transformant, and the method for producing the protein comprising the processes of culturing the transformant and collecting the protein from the cultured material are also provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
