<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin processing unit, capable of reducing the load on a coin-carrying rotor that receives IC coins stacked in a coin storage part, and rotating about a horizontal axis to transport the IC coin. <P>SOLUTION: The coin storage part 31 of this coin processing unit 20 has a tilt storage passage portion 31d in the lower end portion thereof, and the stored IC coin is sent into pockets 27(1)-27(3) of the coin-carrying rotor positioned at a third rotation position C that is lower than the rotating center of the coin-carrying rotor 27 from the tilt storage passage portion 31d. Because the weight of the IC coin stored in the coin storage part 31 does not act directly on the coin-carrying rotor 27, the load on the coin-carrying rotor can be reduced, so that this is advantageous for miniaturization and making compact of the drive mechanism thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
