PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve visibility and operability by combining and using two information display means which display information on a screen, and to variously use the two information display means by adding alteration to contents of the information or the like displayed on respective display means according to conditions.

SOLUTION: This information display unit for vehicles includes: a first monitor D1 having a first screen G1 for displaying visual information; a second monitor D2 having a second screen G2 for displaying operating information for operating the visual information displayed on the first screen; operation detecting means Pd for detecting the operation by an occupant to the operating information of the second screen; a display control portion 31 for controlling a display condition of the information on the first screen on the basis of an operation signal; and an assist control portion 36 to display the operation information to the first screen and/or the visual information to the second screen.
