<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the occurrence of color misregistration, and also to prevent a mark for the color registration detection from remaining on a recording medium such as a form. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus in which a plurality of image forming parts for forming toner images of mutually different colors are disposed in series forms a color image by directly multiply-transferring the toner images of different colors formed by the plurality of image forming parts onto the recording medium. The image forming apparatus which forms a mark for the image position detection on a portion of the recording medium, and controls the image forming position in the plurality of the image forming parts based on the results of the detection of the mark for the image position detection by a detection means, is provided with a mark removing means for removing the mark for the image position detection formed on the recording medium before the fixing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
