PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption and improve operability for a user, in an imaging apparatus having a plurality of optical systems. SOLUTION: The system is provided with an optical system 1 having a relatively wide view angle and an optical system 2 having a relatively narrow view angle. An image processing system 20 displays an image acquired by the optical system 1 on a display device 22, and clips a photographing area corresponding to an operation amount of a zoom operation lever 26 by the user from an image of the optical system 1, and displays the clipped image on the display device 22. When the user operates a release button 28, the image processing system 20 and a lens control system 18 drive the optical system 2 to a view angle corresponding to the photographing area, and record an image acquired by the optical system 2 into a recording apparatus 24. For focus adjustment of the optical system 2, information acquired in the optical system 1 is utilized. In clipping the photographing area and displaying it, it is displayed while taking the parallaxes of the optical systems 1, 2 into consideration. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
