摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film which precipitates a very little amount of an oligomer when used as an LCD member, realizes a high-degree luminance, can give a high-quality image, and has a good optical capability. SOLUTION: A biaxially oriented polyester film for optical use is provided, of which the contents of a titanium compound and a phosphor compound satisfy the below-described formulas (1) and (2) and which contains 2.0-10.0 mol% polyester constituent other than the main polyester constituent and has a total light transmittance of 91.0% or more. Formula (1) is 0<W<SB>Ti</SB>≤20 (wherein W<SB>Ti</SB>is the titanium element content (ppm) in the polyester film).
