PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect simply from the internet to a home network by using only a terminal unit that wants to access from the internet to a home network to change F/W setting of an inter-network connecting device without an operation of a special command while ensuring security. SOLUTION: A terminal unit 20 is connected locally with the home network 30 to make the connecting device 10 perform information exchange (registration and notification) required for authentication as an allowable terminal device. As the information required for the authentication, employed are low-order 64 bits of an IPv6 address of the terminal unit and information on clock time (a time stamp) at the time of the connection. The terminal unit that has completed the information exchange required for the authentication is connected with the internet 40 at an arbitrary location to access the connecting device. The connecting device makes information exchange required for the authentication with the terminal unit to check whether the terminal has been preliminarily connected locally with the internet as the allowable terminal device.
