PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide constitution for eliminating variance in luminance for an electrooptical device which can blink by using a lighting system having beltlike light emission regions shifting in selection state in order, the lighting system having the beltlike light emission regions shifting in selection state in order, and electronic equipment equipped with the electrooptical device. SOLUTION: In the electrooptical device which employs a blinking system, the lighting system 6 used as a back light has a plurality of beltlike light emission regions 8a to 8f capable of emitting light independently of one another. The plurality of the beltlike light emission regions 8a to 8f have first power supply parts 81a to 81f for applying driving signals individually and luminance adjustment parts 83a to 83f which make luminance lower in beltlike light emission regions nearby the first power supply parts 81a to 81f than in beltlike light emission regions far away from them.
