PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus equipped with a cleaning device for efficiently cleaning untransferred toner left after transfer on an intermediate transfer body. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus 1 equipped with an intermediate transfer body cleaning device 42 for removing the toner remaining on the intermediate transfer belt 41 after transferring a toner image on a photoreceptor 11 to a storage medium, the intermediate transfer body cleaning device 42 is provided with a cleaning means 42a and a conductive blade 42d for performing cleaning with charge reverse to that of the toner, and bias having a reverse polarity to a polarity applied to the cleaning means 42a is imparted to the conductive blade 42d.
