摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a biodegradable resin material that biodegrades and vanishes even if left to stand or dumped in the field and/or seashore, etc. after use to effect environmental pollution suppression and nature conservation, thus useful as a biodegradable material for civil engineering or agricultural use, especially as a biodegradable fishery material such as fishline, excellent in biodegradable function and various physical properties, and capable of controlling the balance between biodegradability and various physical properties and the rate of biodegradability. SOLUTION: The biodegradable resin material is a biodegradable polyglycolic acid-based resin filament that consists of a polyglycolic acid-based resin≥0.5 wt.% in residual monomer content and has a tensile strength of≥750 MPa and a knot strength of≥600 MPa. The above filament is produced by melt-extruding and spinning at≥230°C a polyglycolic acid-based resin with the residual monomer content adjusted to≥0.5 wt.%, quenching the resultant spun filament in a cooling medium at≤10°C followed by making a noncrystalline drawing by a factor of 3 or greater in a medium at 60-83°C.
