PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply and inexpensively constituted recovery device for a recording head, which can prevent the moisture absorption of a wet liquid and prevent the wet liquid from being leaked by a change in the attitude of an inkjet recording apparatus. SOLUTION: A first treated liquid retaining section 32, which communicates via a plurality of channels 33 and 34, is connected to a second treated liquid retaining section 35, and the channels are provided with valve mechanisms 33b and 34b for switching the communication/interception of them, respectively. When the valve mechanisms 33b and 34b are opened, a treated liquid 35a, which is supplied from the section 35, is supplied to the first treated liquid retaining section via the prescribed channel, and instead, air flowing in from a ventilation section 31A of the section 32 is supplied to the first channel via the other channels.
