PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly stir a liquid over the whole area in a tank with less energy consumption and to enhance a treatment efficiency of contaminated water. SOLUTION: The stirring apparatus is provided with a delivery pipe 20 having a first end 20a connected to a pump 19 for feeding a liquid to a water tank 10B and a second end 20b arranged in the liquid in the water tank 10B; and a diffuser 22 connected to the second end 20b of the delivery pipe 20, arranged at a corner part between first and fourth side walls 12A, 12D, extending between the first and fourth side walls 12A, 12D and having a delivery port 24 facing to a corner part between second and third side walls 12B, 12C positioned at a diagonal part relative to the corner part between the first and fourth side walls 12A, 12D. Alternatively, the apparatus is provided with the diffuser 22 arranged near the corner part between the first and second side walls 12A, 12B except for an opening of an inlet 14 and having the delivery port 24 facing to an outlet 15 positioned at a diagonal part.
