PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathing device having a stretcher drop prevention mechanism not to disturb a care work when a carer performs the care work. SOLUTION: The bathing device 1 includes: a carrier vehicle 6 for placing a stretcher 5 where a bathing person lies on; a bathtub 2 to be elevated/lowered in a prescribed section and having rack 12 which is internally fixed to support the stretcher 5; and the stretcher drop prevention mechanism 23a having a drop prevention member 24 which is arranged on the upper surface of the sidewall 2b of the bathtub 2 so as to be projectable/retractable and prevents the drop of the stretcher 5 when the stretcher 5 is moved between the carrier vehicle 6 and the rack 12. The device 1 also includes: a first operation mechanism 25 for operating the drop prevention member 24 to be retracted with respect to the upper surface of the sidewall 2b, so as to allow the stretcher 5 to be moved between the carrier vehicle 6 and the rack 12 when the carrier vehicle 6 is joined at the prescribed position of the bathtub 2; and a second operation mechanism 40 for operating the drop prevention member 24 to be retracted with respect to the upper surface of the sidewall 2b when the bathtub 2 is elevated to the prescribed position.
