It is known that Helicobacter pylori infects human stomach as a host inherent to it and fixes therein to thereby participate upper digestive tract diseases. It is intended to provide an economical method of inhibiting the proliferation and migration of Helicobacter pylori without any fear of the appearance of a drug-tolerant strain caused by a drug having been commonly employed for removing bacteria or side effects, which comprises selecting a mineral-rich water, which is capable of inhibiting the proliferation and migration of Helicobacter pylori that has infected human stomach as a host inherent to it and fixed therein from among mineral-rich waters obtained from deep marine water and taking the same, and a food and a drink with the use of the mineral-rich water.
