Even in case a plurality of peaks exist at mutually close positions (or close instants) in object signals to be transmitted, a transmitter (1) for processing the object signals effectively reduces a peak power to be generated in the object signals. In the transmitter (1), coefficient generation processing means (35 - 39, and D1 - DM) detect the peaks of the levels of the object signals, and generate peak suppression coefficients for suppressing those peaks together on the basis of the peaks detected. Transmission object signal level suppressing means (40, 33 and 34) suppress the levels of the object signals, with the peak suppression coefficients generated. |
