The elastomer rivet (1) has a positioning head (2) and a shaft (3), where the rivet is made from a flexible material such as elastomer. The shaft is arranged before movement of the elastomer that has a diameter greater than a riveted hole in a component which is to be connected. A fixed seat is provided in a press fit manner after the movement of the elastomer by elasticity of a riveted material between the riveted shaft and the riveted hole. The shaft has an extended shaft end (4) with a socket (6) for a pulling device. An independent claim is also included for a method for preparing a connection unit for detachably connecting a component.
