Heat is dissipated from the die casting into the mold. In one section of the mold, the rate of heat dissipation in this manner, differs from that in another, adjacent section of the mold. The die casting equipment (1) includes a molding cavity (4), in which one section of the working area of the mold has a coating (9). The thermal conductivity of this coating differs from that of the die plates (3a, 3b) or mold carriers (2a, 2b). The coating bond is formed by a diffusion layer of both materials.
