Method for lubricating milling material

Method for rolling milling material, especially for hot wide strip rolling in a finishing train or a continuous casting and rolling plant in which a lubricant is applied to the working rollers surfaces or indirectly to the backing roller surfaces, followed by transfer of the lubricant to the working roller surfaces before the milling material is fed to into the roll gap of the roll stand. A strongly adhesive film is formed on the working roller surface which decreases friction in the roll gap.
