A lamp with an electrode is provided to enhance optical efficiency by connecting a metal electrode with both sides of a light emitting unit including sulfur. A lamp with an electrode includes a power supply unit, a light emitting unit(10), and a metal electrode(20). The power supply unit supplies current. The light emitting unit is formed of a transparent material in order to form an internal space(11a). The internal space of the light emitting unit is filled with an auxiliary discharge material and sulfur. The metal electrode is connected with the power supply unit in order to discharge the auxiliary discharge material and the sulfur. One end of the metal electrode is inserted and exposed into the internal space. A protective layer(22) is formed on the exposed part of the metal electrode.
