The connection (1) has a carrier component (2) with a drilling (5) that exhibits a thread (6) for accommodating threaded sections (7) of a screw (4). A plastic component (3) has a through hole (8) to accommodate the screw. The screw is directed through the through hole up to a layout of a screw head (9), in order to screw the drilling with the thread sections at the thread. The screw exhibits a shaft section (10) between the threaded sections and the head. The diameter of the shaft section is larger than the diameter of the drilling and smaller than the diameter of the through hole. An independent claim is also included for a method for connecting a carrier component with a plastic component using a screw.
