<p>Sequence-specific recombination (SSR) of DNA in a eukaryotic cell, comprising introducing two DNA sequences (I, II) into a cell, and using an integrase (Int) to effect SSR, is new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a nucleic acid comprising a 243 base pair sequence (IIII), fully defined in the specification, or its derivatives; and (2) vector containing (III), or its derivatives, plus a therapeutic gene, or its derivatives.
