A metal-insulator transition device is provided to restrain the damage of a conductive layer and to control properly the amount of current on the conductive layer by using an enhanced conductive layer structure composed of a plurality of conductive layers connected parallel with each other. A metal-insulator transition device comprises a first electrode(104) on a substrate(102), a second electrode, and at least one or more conductive layers. The second electrode(106) is spaced apart from the first electrode. The conductive layers(110) are used for connecting electrically the first and the second electrodes with each other. Each conductive layer has a predetermined width capable of being changed into a metallic state due to the transition of metal-insulator. The conductive layers are connected parallel with each other.
|
