A liquid detection device (106) attached on a liquid container (1) for detecting a liquid consumption status of the liquid contained in the liquid container, the liquid detection device including a vibrating section, a piezoelectric element (160), an upper electrode (164) disposed on an upper surface of said piezoelectric element, a lower electrode (166) disposed on a lower surface of said piezoelectric element, the upper and lower electrodes electrically connecting with said vibrating section, and a vibrating plate (176) having an upper surface contacting said lower electrode and a lower surface a part of which contacting the liquid contained in the liquid container, wherein at least a part os said piezoelectric element, said upper electrode, said lower electrode and said vibrating plate constitute said vibrating section.
