A method and an apparatus for preventing an erroneous operation of an ATS device are provided to accurately control a speed of a train by correcting the speed of the train at various detection points. An apparatus for preventing an erroneous operation of an ATS(Automatic Train Stop) device includes an erroneous operation preventing unit(100) and a speed control unit(200). The erroneous operation preventing unit includes a resonance circuit having a condenser and a coil and is implemented on a ground. The speed control unit is installed on a train and includes an oscillator, a filter, a speed detector, and a speed controller. The oscillator oscillates at an oscillation frequency and includes a resistor, a condenser, a coil, and an amplifier circuit. The filter removes a noise from an oscillation signal. The speed detector compares the speed of the vehicle with the input frequency from the filter. The speed controller controls the speed of the train based on the compared result. The oscillator and the erroneous operation preventing unit change the frequency to the oscillation frequency when the erroneous operation preventing unit approaches the oscillator.
