The stress light emitting material satisfies a condition of being lighted by at least any one of light emitting mechanisms, that is, a light emitting mechanism derived from static electricity by friction, a light emitting mechanism derived from micro-plasma by friction, a light emitting mechanism derived from piezoelectric effect by strain, a light emitting mechanism derived from lattice defects, and a light emitting mechanism derived from heating. For example, when a stress light emitting material contains a base material consisting of at least one kind of aluminate, the above base material requires, for the purpose of realizing a light emitting mechanism derived from piezoelectric effect by strain, a structure including a crystal structure having a spontaneous polarity, specifically, for example, a -SrAl2O Ú .
