A quality determination method of spiral speed patterns is provided to be capable of determining the spiral speed patterns which influence track width variation and write quality of servo patterns, through servo pattern analysis, thus an exact servo write process is performed. With regard to servo patterns recorded according to spiral speed patterns, the servo patterns are read from a section corresponding to an integral multiple of a switching period of the spiral speed patterns to operate track widths(400,405). Among the operated track widths, track widths which show repeated properties at every switching period of the spiral speed patterns are detected(410). If the detected track widths exceed a predetermined reference value, quality of the spiral speed patterns is determined as low quality(420,430).
