A filter for sea water is provided to use a folded plate element to reinforce a resistance for fluid and filtering sludge contained in the fluid through an increased contact area between the fluid and a folded portion of the folded plate element. A filter for sea water includes first and second plate elements(10,20) in the shape of iron net and disposed with a distance from each other, and a folded plate element(30) having ends respectively coupled with the first and second plate elements and positioned between the first and second plate elements. The folded plate element is formed with V-shaped folded parts(32) continuously to be disposed in parallel with each other and formed of an iron net. Fluid is splitted by peak portions of the folded parts, so that a resistance for the fluid is reinforced. A sludge filtered by the folded plate element falls down along the folded plate element and is collected to the first plate element.
