<p>The device has a two control units (1, 9), a drive output stage (2), and a set of drive phases, where one of the control unit (9) is utilized for monitoring an electrical value of one of the drive phases. A connection unit (10) is utilized for connecting the control unit (9) and the drive output stage, where the control unit (9) turns off the drive output stage when an improper speed state is detected. The control unit (1) includes a signal transformer for receiving a measurement signal corresponding to the electrical value.
