ULTRASONIC MOTOR

There is provided an ultrasonic motor having a stator (1) formed by using an acoustic waveguide of helical coil shape or an acoustic waveguide of in-plane spiral coil shape, so that a moving body (2) arranged in the vicinity of the coil is made to rotate, travel, or perform curved line movement by the propagation of the bending wave on the stator (1). The present invention eliminates the need of a preload spring and an absorber, simplifies the structure, reduces the device size, and enables in-liquid operation without water proofing and rotation of a hollow cylinder.
