A method for switching received digital and analog broadcast to each other is provided to switch a broadcasting receiver to one of a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) part and an analog broadcasting part which has better reception performance when the DMB part and the analog broadcasting part, such as a television and a radio, receive the same program. It is determined whether currently received broadcast is digital broadcast or analog broadcast. If the currently received broadcast is the analog broadcast, S-meter data is requested to an analog broadcast reception module(60) and it is determined whether a reception state of the currently received analog broadcast is good. If the currently received analog broadcast is not good, data error rate data is requested to a digital broadcast reception module(50) and it is determined whether a reception state of the digital broadcast is good. If the reception state of the digital broadcast is good, the analog broadcast is switched to the digital broadcast.
