A breakdown diagnosis system using a vehicle speed sensor is provided to prevent the malfunction of a vehicle due to external noises by calculating an average speed of the vehicle which is detected by the vehicle speed sensor and then comparing the calculated value and value detected by a transmission sensor. A breakdown diagnosis system includes vehicle speed sensors(21) installed in an opposite direction for detecting a speed of tires(20), a transmission sensor(11) installed on a transmission(10) for detecting a speed of an output shaft of the transmission installed on a vehicle, and an ECU(Electrical Control Unit)(30) electrically connected to the vehicle speed sensors and the transmission sensor for determining a breakdown state of the vehicle.
