An LCD and a method of manufacturing the same are provided to increase an opening region by a bonding margin by forming a light blocking member, which has been included in a color filter substrate, in an array substrate. A display region, which includes a switching region and a pixel region(P), and a non display region are defined in a substrate(100). A driver circuit unit is formed in the non display region and includes a poly-silicon TFT(thin film transistor). The poly-silicon TFT is disposed to correspond to the switching region. A light blocking member is disposed above the driver circuit unit and an interface between the switching region and the pixel region. A pixel electrode(152) is formed in the pixel region and connected with the poly-silicon TFT. |
