A method for preparing a gasket-type glass sealing material for solid oxide fuel cells having high precision and an excellent sealing efficiency, hardly causing shrinkage, and reducing a production cost of fuel cells, is provided. The method for preparing a gasket-type glass sealing material for solid oxide fuel cells comprises the steps of: molding high-temperature glass sealing material powders or granules for solid oxide fuel cells into a plate shape; heating the obtained plate at a temperature 5-20‹C higher than a softening point of the glass sealing material; and cutting the heat-treated plate into fragments with a predetermined size, uniting the fragments into a desired shape using a paste having the same composition as the used glass sealing material powder, and re-heating the obtained structure at a temperature 10-50‹C higher than a softening point of the glass sealing material to fasten joints. |
