<p>A refrigerator, a monitoring system having a refrigerator and a method for controlling the same are provided to recognize a status of each space when a user exists at a place where the refrigerator is installed. A refrigerator includes a camera unit(100), a transmission unit(300), and a refrigerator(400). The camera unit is capable of being installed on a desired place. A screen selector(200) includes a signal processing unit(210) to process a monitoring image signal photographed from each camera, a function selection unit(220), and a selector control unit(230) for processing the monitoring image signal by the signal processing unit according to the selection result of the function selection unit. The monitoring image signal supplied from the camera unit or the screen selector is transmitted to the refrigerator through the transmission unit. And, the transmission unit is capable of including a wireless communication module to be communicated with a wireless communication protocol of IEEE 802.11A.</p> |
