A device for fixing a lagging material to a submerged entry nozzle is provided to mount the lagging material onto an outer peripheral surface of the submerged entry nozzle accurately and solidly. A device(30) for fixing a lagging material to a submerged entry nozzle comprises: a horizontal transfer driving part(31) installed at an outer side of the submerged entry nozzle for passing molten steel within a tundish; two rotary members(33,34) which are horizontally transferred in a state that the rotary members are held by the horizontal transfer driving part, and are capable of being horizontally rotated in a state that the rotary members cross each other; and two holding members(35,36) which are fixed to one ends of the respective rotary members, and have semi-cylindrical lagging materials(41,42) adhered to inner surfaces thereof, wherein the lagging materials adhered to the inner surfaces of the supporting members are adhered to an outer peripheral surface of the submerged entry nozzle or separated from the outer peripheral surface of the submerged entry nozzle according to the rotation of the two rotary members.
