A device for transmitting WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) contents through an MMS(Multimedia Messaging Service) message and a method therefor are provided to enable a user to transmit currently viewing contents to the other party in MMS type while surfing WAP contents through a wireless Internet browser, thus the user can simply send various WAP contents in MMS type during wireless Internet surfing. A parser(100) parses WAP contents. An object extractor(200) extracts objects from the parsed WAP contents. An SMIL(Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language) configuring unit(300) configures SMIL contents as the extracted objects. An MMS transmitter(400) transmits the SMIL contents through an MMS message. The object extractor(200) comprises as follows. A text extractor(230) extracts a text object from the parsed WAP contents. An image extractor(250) extracts an image object from the parsed WAP contents. A sound extractor(270) extracts a sound object from the parsed WAP contents.
