A fuel additive is provided to induce complete combustion of fuel by containing a lot amount of oxygen for increasing a fuel ratio, preventing corrosion of a combustion engine, and reducing emission of harmful substances causing air pollution. A fuel additive consists of 30-60wt% of a compound represented by a chemical formula 1, 30-60wt% of a compound represented by a chemical formula 2, 1-3wt% of organic molybdenum powder, 3-5wt% of a purifier, and 1-2wt% of an ignition improving agent. In the chemical formula 1, n represents an integer in the range from 4 to 6 and R^1 represents an alkyl group having a carbon number in the range from 2 to 6. In the chemical formula 2, R^2 is selected from CH_3, C_2H_5, and C_3H_7, and R^3 is selected from C_2H_5, C_3H_7, C_4H_9, and C_5H_11. The fuel additive is preferably added by an amount in the range from 200 to 400ml per 60L of gasoline, and more preferably by an amount of 350ml per 60L of gasoline. |
