According to the present invention, there is provided a light source device (17) having a reflector (21) including a light source lamp (18) and a free surface for emitting light for reflecting light radiated from the light source lamp (18) arranged within the reflector (21) to emit the light from the free surface, and a glass (22) arranged ahead of the free surface of the reflector (21) inclinedly by a predetermined angle with respect to a surface perpendicular to the optical axis of light emitted from the reflector (21). According to the light source device (17), the light source lamp (18) is prevented from temperature rise and consequent overheat caused by light reflected on the glass (22) thereby to return to the reflector 21. <IMAGE> |
